"Extensible 3D (X3D) is a trademark of the Web3D Consortium (www.web3d.org) and is the next generation of VRML (Virtual Reality Modelling Language). The Web3D Consortium [2004] defines X3D as “a software standard for defining interactive web and broadcast-based 3D content integrated with multimedia”.
